SPARC is Now an Open Data Repository
SPARC welcomes all autonomic nervous system researchers to submit data and computational studies for professional FAIR curation and hosting. If you have data to share now, NIH can support your SPARC contribution through August at no cost to you. Email [email protected] to start the conversation.
Planning your next grant submission? Consider including SPARC to support your project and help you craft your Data Management and Sharing plan. Submit data or models to the SPARC Portal and take advantage of our other cutting edge SPARC services. Just reach out to [email protected].
Portal Upgrades Flatmaps
Explore SPARC’s first-ever major maps upgrade, which allows for continual improvement as data are curated and published via SCKAN. This update includes new human male and female maps! This is a huge step in expanding SPARC as a scientific workbench for investigators. Follow this link to examine these incredible maps.
o2S2PARC Powers ZMT’s S4Llite
The SPARC Modeling and Simulation Core (SIM-Core) is thrilled to announce that SPARC’s o2S2PARC simulation platform enabled ZMT, a Swiss-based MedTech company, to release a web-based version of their advanced Sim4Life desktop computational platform. S4Llite is free of charge for scientific use by students and in teaching! Learn more at the SPARC News and Events page at this link.
Annual Data Accomplishments Tallied
In 2022, 60 new and 51 re-curated datasets were made publicly available on the SPARC Portal. Datasets were downloaded from the Portal 1333 times last year, and the protocols contributed to the SPARC workspace on Protocols.io have been viewed more than 32,000 times!

APS Summit 2023 Award Applications Due Feb. 24
The SPARC DRC is offering competitive awards for the highest quality American Physiological Society (APS) Summit abstracts. Each award will include $500 for travel cost in addition to conference registration fees. Find out more about this opportunity at the APS page on the SPARC Portal. The APS conference takes place in Long Beach, CA, April 19-22 and registration is due March 22. Please let SPARC know if you’re headed to the Summit by filling out our quick APS survey at this link, and be sure to visit our booths (#312 and #314) for Portal demos and workshops!
